Music Share
by Matthew Givens
Welcome to my Music Share website. I have a hobby... not a career, but a hobby. That hobby is to create music. Whether I do that by composing a new piece, creating an arrangement for an existing melody, or just rendering an arrangement created by somebody else, I like to see what I can create.
Over time I intend to add more music to this page, and I hope you like it. Some will be traditional music rendered with orchestral instruments, and others will be a bit more experimental (for me) and rendered with synths that happen to catch my ear.
Because it is Christmas, all the songs presented right now will be Christmas songs, though ultimately I hope to have multiple categories to choose from.
I hope you enjoy my music.
My wife and I created an arrangement for "Amazing Grace", and my wife sang the lyrics. We offer this song as a Christmas present to my mother.
Merry Christmas!
Last Christmas I created this arrangement of Beethoven's "Ode To Joy". This arrangement was my first full arrangement I created on my own, and blends orchestral and synth sounds.
This version of "What Child Is This" was arranged by Don Carol, and I rendered it last Christmas using GPO orchestral instruments and various synths.

I located an arrangement for "I Want A Hippotamus For Christmas" online and rendered it using Garriton Personal Orchestra instruments. The singer is my daughter, who is currently majoring in theater.
I played an elderly jewish man, a camp survivor, in the play "The Letter Box". The authors asked me to compose a theme for Elmo. The song was played in the show, and is designed to reflect his personality. I hope you like it.
